What To Expect
How long is a Charis City service?
Our services typically last about 60 minutes. Services begin with the Charis City worship team leading us in song. Lyrics are displayed on screens so you can sing along or engage in whatever way feels comfortable for you. After worship, one of our teaching pastors shares an impactful message from Scripture. We conclude each service with a meaningful time of decision and worship, creating space to respond to what God is doing in our lives.
What is the worship like?
We sing contemporary worship songs from well-known Christian artists and groups including Hillsong, Passion, Elevation, and Bethel, among others. Our worship team is a full band, creating a reverent yet joyful atmosphere of worship. We value both celebration and reflection in our worship sets, which typically include 3-4 songs.
What is the preaching like?
Our pastors deliver exegetical sermons that are firmly rooted in Scripture. We typically preach in series format — collections of connected messages that explore either specific biblical books or important topics. You’ll experience a diverse range of messages covering the full spectrum of Christian life and theology. While our approach emphasizes God’s grace, we’re equally committed to biblical truth—we don’t avoid challenging passages or difficult topics in God’s Word.
You will typically hear preaching from either our Lead Pastor, Nathan Rymer, or our Associate Pastor, Chris Halbach.
What should I wear?
We are a casual church. Our pastors often wear jeans, and we encourage everyone to come as they are. You’ll see people in everything from t-shirts to business casual attire.
What do you have for my kids?
Our children’s ministry, Charis Kids, meets every Sunday morning during our regular service time. Your children will experience a FUN, SAFE, and engaging environment where they can learn about Jesus through age-appropriate activities, Bible stories, and meaningful relationships with caring volunteers. All our team members undergo thorough background checks, and we maintain secure check-in/check-out procedures to ensure your child’s safety.
Where are you located?
We currently meet at 700 Westgreen Blvd, Katy TX 77450. As a growing church plant in Katy, our gatherings take place in the west (righthand) building of the Crossroad Church facility. For easy navigation on your first visit, please refer to the diagram below showing our specific location on the campus.
Know Where To Go!
We set up each Sunday in the west building (on the right side) of the Crossroad Church Facility. When you arrive, you’ll see two buildings—we meet in the righthand building.
